THE BLUES GUITAR

Big subject.  What is the best blues guitar.  If you ask Clapton obviously it would be the Strat.  If you were to ask BB King as well as Freddie King it would be the Gibson ES 355.  If you were to ask Roy Buchanan it would have been the Tele.  Same thing with amp types.  It comes down to a lot more than the actual guitar.  Each guitar has it's strengths as well as limitations.  Good players can exploit both strengths and limitations.  It really is feel.  Blues is more than the guitar.  I have heard guys on old Montgomery Ward Airlines that sound great.  The blues is the blues, and that is just about it.
